Fundraising Sub-Committee

The Fundraising Sub-Committee was set up to assist the group with the costs of replacing equipment.  Although there was a small increase in subs, there is never enough money to do everything.

So I, Karen May, offered to run a Quiz and it grew from there.

The committee was formed from other parents and carers who felt able to help.

Out aim is for the events to be family orientated and to involve our youngsters as much as possible in the fundraising process.

To date, the scouts have made wooden planters, and helped sell them in the village at our plant sale.

This has the effect of raising our profile in the community and gives the children a sense of achievement.

In the future we hope to hold events that will give the cubs and beavers the opportunity to take part, it doesn’t matter how small the contribution, it is more important to take part and have fun.
